Tucked into the Chronicle, 14 October 1881, this bit of sneaky but effective advertising is found:

Due to changes in street names and numbers, it seems likely that 64 Fourth Ave. as found in Mt. Vernon today was not the address of L. Roscher's business in the late 19th century.

In 1898, the Mt. Vernon Daily Argus has an ad for Roscher's business at a different address:
