Although these racial stereotypes would be very offensive to most in the 21st century, John L. Whiting & Sons of Boston, MA (founded 1864) realized sales across all ethnic boundaries. This may have been because the company simply made better brushes than its competitors. From Google Patents, here's a copy of one of the company's patents:

According to its bill header, this building was on the corner of High and Purchase Streets.
The remaining scraps on this page appear to be forgettable moments from Elliott Barnes's play "Only a Farmer's Daughter." As the script has thankfully vanished, verification of this is uncertain. However, judging by the trite situations and the unimaginative dialogue it seems very likely to be a match. See the previous page for details.
